Evangel ENT Clinic

For many years we have been unable to offer patients with impaired hearing an effective and affordable hearing aid - until now! ComCare International, a Christian ministry to the hearing impaired, manufacturers a solar rechargeable hearing aid for use in developing countries where conventional hearing aids are unavailable or the batteries unavailable. It is designed for harsh climates and rugged service and never needs batteries.

A ComCare team came to Nigeria in February 2002 for a better understanding on the feasibility of using the solar powered hearing aid in West Africa. Over the 4 day visit they saw 209 patients and fitted 20 with ComCare hearing aids. They realized the great need and recommended we set up a hearing aid clinic.

Dr. Joel Anthis, an Ear, Nose and Throat surgeon, now overseas the ENT Clinic and hearing aid center at Evangel Hospital. We provide screening, hearing examinations in a soundproof booth, medical examinations and a full range of medical and surgical services, including fitting of hearing aids. Each ComCare solar powered hearing aid costs $100.
